Love that doesn’t run out

February 20, 2015

Incredible film. I was saddened by these words though: “I have loved you. I did my best.” Because let’s be honest. Our best isn’t good enough. Our love runs out. But His doesn’t. His love endures for ever. We love because he first loved us.

How precious is your steadfast love, O God!

(Psalm 136, 1 John 4:19, Psalm 36:7)

“We are such insignificant creatures on a minor planet of a very average star in the outer suburbs of one of a hundred thousand million galaxies… that it is difficult to believe in a God that would care about us or even notice our existence.” (Stephen Hawking)

“When I look at the heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars,  which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?” (Psalm 8:3-4)

“Your love, LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.” (Psalm 36:5)
