Why Wordsworth? – Why not?

“I don’t know even where to start… Maybe that’s a start.” ~ Alexi Murdoch*

You may or may not have noticed that it’s a while since I’ve tackled poetry, sticking to the “safer option”, perhaps, of the music review (notice how I quote a singer/songwriter rather than a poet). So while I’m wondering about the distinction between poetry and lyrics – and how to tackle poetic enigmas across the spectrum, from a biblical perspective – I implore you to return to the works of the Romantic poet Wordsworth, to his philosophy of poetry and its implications for our generation, in the following post: Wordsworth – Nature, Man and God.

*Like the sound of roots musician Alexi Murdoch? There’s plenty more where that came from. Check out It’s Only Fear for starters, then Dream About Flying and All of My Days.

P.S. Isn’t it refreshing to see even a photo of spring daffodils on a cold October evening? If you like daffodils, read Daffy About Daffodils by Jerilee Wei (it’s where I got the photo from). She even quotes our good friend Wordsworth… What’s not to like?
